The 2022-2023 Taking Flight EEE Winter Camp will run for two months, from December 19 to February 18.
Unlike EEE summer camps, EEE winter camps allow a participant to join a Canadian school classroom and experience school life.
It will also be an excellent opportunity to learn and enjoy a comprehensive variety of winter activities. (i.e., skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, hockey, sledding, etc.)
During the camp period, daily afternoon supplemental ESL classes will be provided by ESL teachers according to each participant’s level.
If needed (depending on their English level), participants receive at least one month of intensive preparation classes before the camp start date.
Taking Flight’s eighth EEE Camp (English Experience Excursion) finished in September 2022. As with all the previous Taking Flight EEE camps, through various hands-on activities, but more importantly, living in an English immersion environment, the camps are an opportunity to experience how different English is from the English taught in the EFL classroom.
Participants are given a better understanding of other cultures and valuable time to think about the comparisons & contrasts and pros & cons of different cultures.
The general agreement is that an ideal education structure would be to combine Korean educational culture, which places great importance on academics, and Canadian educational culture, which places great importance on the freedom to be involved with various experiential activities.
